⻄班牙巴賽隆納大學美術繪畫創作博士,目前於台北藝術大學劇場設計系擔任兼任助理教授,擅長水彩與⻄洋書法。初期以其特殊風格的水彩畫開始記錄基隆的城市風光,而後足跡遍及台灣與世界各地。曾擔任《旅人誌》、《好吃》、《時報周刊》圖文專欄作者。
近年開設豐富線上課程,並著有《旅途上的畫畫課》、《手繪西班牙時光》、《畫家帶路,基隆小旅行》等出版作品。公共藝術可見於七堵舊火車站重建區,其「Lives in the windows 微軟資訊廣告」,為法國坎城廣告獎唯一台灣入選作品,同時榮獲紐約廣告獎繪畫類優選及時報廣告金像獎。
Wang Chieh is a Ph.D. graduate in Fine Arts and Painting from the University of Barcelona, Spain. Currently, he holds the position of adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Theatrical Design & Technology at Taipei National University of the Arts. He is proficient in watercolor and Western calligraphy. In his early career, he commenced recording the urban landscapes of Keelung using his unique style of watercolor paintings. Subsequently, his artistic journey led him to explore various places in Taiwan and all around the world. He has also served as a graphic and written columnist for publications such as TRAVELER Luxe, Passion For Food, and China Times Weekly.
In recent years, he has established a diverse range of online courses and has authored published works such as Art Lessons on the Journey, Sketching Spanish Memories, and Painter's Guide, Keelung Mini Travel. His public art installations can be found in the reconstruction area of the former Qidu Train Station, where his "Lives in the Windows Microsoft Information Advertisement" was selected as the only Taiwanese entry for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and received honors in the Illustration category of the New York Festival Advertising Awards and the Times Awards.
